Football Camp*CO-ED

This camp is designed to teach the basic fundamentals and techniques of blocking and tackling, as well as learning how to run, throw, and catch the football. The camp will also feature agility work, stretching techniques, and guest speakers focusing on academics and hard work.

Eligibility:
Boys & Girls, 9–16 years old; must be at least 9 years old by start of camp (approx. Grade 4–10)
Facilities:
Campers should report to Zone B (the Herman Entry Plaza) on Pilgrim Road. Camp will be held on the Steuart Field. 
What to bring to camp
  • Football cleats and sneakers
  • All players should wear shorts and a t-shirt
  • Sunscreen
  • Water
Footballs are provided. No other equipment necessary.
Director
Coach Orion Martin is in his 6th year as a PE teacher and entering his 3rd season as head football coach at St. Albans. He has been coaching college and high school football for over a decade. He spent four of those as Head Football Coach at Martinsville High School. Prior to coaching, Coach Martin was a four-year letterman at Virginia Tech. As a senior during the 2008 season, he was awarded Team Captain and Team MVP awards. After college he joined the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.
Located in Washington, D.C., St. Albans Summer Programs – a combined summer camp and summer school for area and out-of-town boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12 – provides half- and full-day academic and art classes and athletic camps for football, golf, swimming, and tennis at state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
