Art & Music Mash Up!

Grades 1–3
Students will spend half the session in an Arts Exploration class and half the session doing Music & Movement. Both classes will be taught by St. Albans art and music faculty. The class will culminate with an art show and musical performance on the last Friday of the session.

Art Explorations - Mini MINI-COURSE

Grades 4-6
In this one-week morning session, campers will explore a wide range of methods for creative expression. As part of the artistic process, we will practice looking at, talking about, and creating art of different subjects and media. We will consider work by artists like Van Gogh, O’Keeffe, Kollwitz, and Hockney as a source of inspiration for developing our own individual self-expression. And we will practice making art with through painting, drawing, mixed-media, and collage. Make room on your walls!  This sessions is only open to rising 4th-6th grade. (Also listed in Middle School).

Art Explorations

Grades 4-8
This two-week, afternoon course is designed to develop interpretive skills, expand knowledge of art history, and inspire creativity. Students will create individual and collaborative pieces using a variety of materials. (Also listed for Middle School).
July - July

Located in Washington, D.C., St. Albans Summer Programs – a combined summer camp and summer school for area and out-of-town boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12 – provides half- and full-day academic and art classes and athletic camps for football, golf, rowing, swimming, and tennis at state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
