Art Explorations MINI-COURSE CANCELLED

Grades 6-8
This one-week, morning course is designed to develop interpretive skills, expand knowledge of art history, and inspire creativity. Students will create individual and collaborative pieces using a variety of materials.  
 

Art: Visual Communication  NEWMINI-COURSE

Grades 7-12
This one-week intensive course takes place in an encouraging and engaging art studio atmosphere. The class will explore how images have been used to express ideas throughout history and how images have become an essential way of communicating concepts in contemporary society. Inspired by advertising, architecture, and illustration, students will create individual and collaborative pieces using a variety of materials. (Also listed in Upper School.)

Art: Visual Storytelling  NEWMINI-COURSE

Grades 7-12
This one-week intensive course takes place in an encouraging and engaging art studio atmosphere. The class will explore how images have been used to share characters and narratives throughout history and how images are a part of storytelling in the modern age. Inspired by literature, cinema, and illustration, students will create individual and collaborative pieces using a variety of materials. (Also listed in Upper School.)

Game Design CANCELLED

Located in Washington, D.C., St. Albans Summer Programs – a combined summer camp and summer school for area and out-of-town boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12 – provides half- and full-day academic and art classes and athletic camps for football, golf, rowing, swimming, and tennis at state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
