Art Explorations Cancelled
Grades 7-10
In this session, campers will explore a wide range of methods for creative expression. As part of the artistic process, we will practice looking at, talking about, and creating art of different subjects and media. We will consider work by artists like Van Gogh, O’Keeffe, and Hockney as a source of inspiration for developing our own individual self-expression. And most importantly, we will practice making art using techniques of painting, drawing, mixed-media, and collage.
Character Building and Visual StorytellingCANCELLED
Grades 7-10
In this class we will look at a variety of artists known for telling stories through images. Student-artists will engage in a process for developing original characters and then develop settings, action, and details that communicate the story of those characters. As a class, we will decide how much of the work is collaborative and how much is individual.
Draw, Paint, Sculpt: Animalia All Session Cancelled

Each weekly offering follows a unique aspect/theme of the animal kingdom (like
Slime & Scales or Heroic Dogs) for students to explore as they utilize various artistic mediums to capture and express their interpretations. Middle School and Upper School will meet at separate times.

Foundations of Play: Ensemble, Character, and Creative Expression CANCELLED
Grades 6-12
This energetic course kicks off the summer by jumping into theatre with curiosity, imagination, and a sense of play. Students will explore the fundamentals of performance: ensemble-building, character creation, and imaginative exploration. Through theatre games, improvisation, and guided scene work, students will develop their confidence, creativity, and collaborative instincts. Whether students are new to theatre or already have some experience, this workshop offers a solid foundation in acting and devising.
Embodied Theatre: Movement, Voice, and Object Work in Performance CANCELLED
Grades 6-12
In this course we will explore the fundamental tools of performance – the body, voice, and objects – to create expressive and dynamic stories. Through movement-based exercises, vocal exploration, and the use of everyday objects, students will expand their expressive range and explore new ways of telling stories on stage. Inspired by physical theatre traditions of Lecoq, Viewpoints, and Object Theatre, this course encourages playfulness, creativity, and precision in performance.
The Power of Devising: Bringing Imagination to Life CANCELLED
Grades 6-12
n this high-energy, one week course, students will work together to create original short stories inspired by a creative prompt. Over the course of the week, students will explore a variety of theatre games, writing exercises, and improvisational techniques to devise a short performance based on one or more of their original stories. Through physical exploration, improvisation, and vocal techniques, students will develop their ideas collaboratively, pushing the boundaries of how theatre can be made and experienced.

This creative summer experience takes place in an encouraging and engaging art studio atmosphere.
Inspired by contemporary art history, advertising, architecture, and cinema, students will create unique pieces using oil paint, acrylic, watercolor, and spray paint on canvas, paper, found objects, and walls. One or both sessions can be attended.
