Special Notes:
1. There will be NO afternoon session on Fridays (therefore All Day camp ends at 12pm and PM only campers do not report)
2. All Day camp is now restricted to ages 8 and up!
3. If any registrant combines both AM & PM of SWIM CAMP enrollments for the same week, the entire registration could be forfeit! For example: If the ALL DAY option is unavailable, you cannot create an all day schedule by selecting AM Swim & PM Swim.


Swimming Camp 

Improve your stroke and have fun!
St. Albans Swim Camp offers outstanding coaching from motivated, energetic instructors whose sole mission is to take every step possible to stimulate your swimmer’s love for swimming in a positive and healthy environment. We strive to develop the beginner as well as help the more experienced swimmer reach their full potential. Instruction is divided into different groups appropriate for the skill level and ages of the campers for each particular week.

Eligibility:
Boys and Girls, 6–15 years old (must be at least 6 years old by start of camp - no exceptions)

Director
Richard Bettencourt is the Director of Aquatics and Head Swim Coach for the St. Albans School and the National Cathedral School. Richard has been a part of the local swim community for the past 20 years serving in various roles. Prior to coming to St. Albans he was the Director of Athletics at the Washington Latin Public Charter for 10 years, as well as the Director of Aquatics at Woodmont Country Club. A former collegiate swimmer, Coach Bettencourt has also coached locally for a few summer league swim teams, and with Sea Devils Swimming and the Nation's Capitol Swim Club. 
Facilities:
The Lawrence Pool is an indoor, six-lane facility. The pool is located at 3551 Garfield Street, N.W. Campers should report to Zone B (the Herman Entry Plaza) on Pilgrim Road.

Morning Session
  • 9:20-10:05 am: Lesson #1
  • 10:05-10:15 am: Break/Bathroom
  • 10:15-10:30 am: Group Game
  • 10:30-11:15 am: Lesson #2
  • 11:20-11:35 am: Free Swim
  • 11:35-11:50 am: Prep for Dismissal or Lunch at 12:00 pm
Afternoon Session
  • 1:15-1:55 pm: Lesson #1
  • 1:55-2:05 pm: Group Game
  • 2:05-2:15 pm: Break/Bathroom
  • 2:15-2:40 pm: Lesson #2
  • 2:45-2:55 pm: Free Swim

Located in Washington, D.C., St. Albans Summer Programs – a combined summer camp and summer school for area and out-of-town boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12 – provides half- and full-day academic and art classes and athletic camps for football, golf, swimming, and tennis at state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
